Self Service Post Office Slated for Saxony

November 1, 2007

Saxony is proud to announce a new United States self-service postal facility which broke ground recently in the middle of Saxony Park. The 600 square-foot free-standing facility is located near the intersection of 131st and Olio Road and will be the first facility of its kind in Indiana. The facility is scheduled to open in early 2008.

The new facility will offer 24-hour access to customers and will house two Automated Postal Centers. More than 200 post office boxes will be offered for rent. The Automated Postal Centers will be available every day of the week, including holidays and can conduct 80% of transactions available at post office retail counters. Customers can ship domestic packages via Express Mail, Priority Mail or Parcel Post, deposit First-Class Mail, buy stamps, look up ZIP codes, print shipping labels, purchase Delivery Confirmation, Certified Mail and Return Receipts services and insurance for shipping packages. The Automated Postal Centers accepts most major credit and debit cards.

“The new self-service postal facility is a wonderful amenity for Saxony and a tremendous benefit to our office users, Saxony residents and Fishers community,” says Richard Arnos, President of Republic Development. “Housing a postal service facility at Saxony is a testament of what our project is and what it has become. The activity and energy at Saxony continues to flourish.”

According to Mike McInturf, Marketing Manager for the Postal Service in Indiana, the new facility is quick, easy and convenient for customers. “Traffic congestion will be considerably less than the area around the Main Post Office in Fishers,” says McInturf. “And, during busier mailing times, we expect customers at the new facility to experience shorter wait times in line.”

Saxony is a 725-acre development that spans both sides of I-69 at Exit 10 in Hamilton County, Indiana. At build-out, this $750 million project will include a mix of corporate office, retail, entertainment, civic, multi-family and single family uses, all set within a framework that is home to cutting edge companies, such as Helmer, Inc., Clarian Health Partners, Perkins Specialized Transportation, Intrametco, Community Health Network, STAR Financial Bank, Verus Partners, the Wesleyan Church Foundation World Headquarters, leading retailers and an affluent, highly educated workforce.
