A Hamilton County life sciences company has started operations in its new advanced manufacturing facility. The 72,000 square foot facility is in the Saxony Corporate Campus in Noblesville. The building consists of 52,000 square feet of flexible manufacturing space and 20,000 square feet of office. An additional 14,000 square feet of manufacturing space is also available for future construction as the Helmer, Inc. has consolidated operations in a new 72,000 square foot facility.
Helmer, Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of laboratory equipment and refrigerated products for the storage and processing of blood products and high valued pharmaceuticals, has begun operations in its new, advanced manufacturing facility. With operations previously located in four buildings in Noblesville, this consolidation and expansion allows Helmer to continue its strong pace of growth while developing greater efficiencies.

Significant investment of $1.6 MM in technical infrastructure and advanced manufacturing equipment will also provide competitive capability in the company’s global markets. “We anticipate continued dynamic growth in the years to come and see this new facility as a key element in our strategy to further exploit market opportunities that are available to us,” said company President and owner David Helmer. “The additional manufacturing capability and recently increased product development capability allow us to move products to market faster and maintain our position of market leadership.”

The increased space in the new facility has brought about additional hiring as well. Helmer recently added 20 employees and another eight positions are currently available. This will bring total employment to 142. Further growth is expected in all areas of the company, as new products are brought to market and additional agreements are reached for distribution. Currently

Helmer distributes its products in over 100 countries.

Established in 1977 to serve the life science market, Helmer is a manufacturer and worldwide distributor of high quality laboratory equipment and refrigerated products.
