NOBLESVILLE -- Owners of a new-concept, upscale hotel coming to Saxony at I-69 Exit 10 expect to break ground by May 1 and be open to guests about a year later.

David Crisafi, president of Rocky River, Ohio-based Ceres Enterprises, said the Cambria Suites hotel will cater to business travelers.   With that clientele in mind, he said the health complexes being built in Fishers and growth in the Noblesville Corporate Campus, a 4,550-acre area designated for business and residential uses that includes Saxony, makes Exit 10 the perfect area for the hotel.

Noblesville has already approved the building permit, although Ceres Enterprises hasn't picked it up yet. Plans filed with the city show 132 suites and 139 parking spaces for the four-story, 91,230-square-foot hotel.

Crisafi said rooms are larger than normal, about 350-400 square feet compared to 250-300 square feet. There will be a large-screen TV in the open two-story lobby; two flat-screen LCD televisions, CD/DVD player, and MP3 jacks in the suites; and complimentary wired and wireless high-speed Internet access throughout the property.

He said the Cambria Suites line was developed to market to business travelers through their mid 30’s and said the technology is high end, such as those customers are accustomed to. There will be a large-screen TV in the open two-story lobby; two flat-screen LCD televisions, CD/DVD player, and MP3 jacks in the suites; and complimentary wired and wireless high-speed Internet access throughout the property.

The hotel also will include a dining area with full barista coffee bar, a fitness center, indoor pool and spa, convenience store and 4,500 square feet of meeting space.

The Cambria Suites is the first of three planned hotels at Saxony. Janeen M. Sprague in December said her company, J Enterprises Inc., based in Columbus, Ind., has closed land at Exit 10 and plans to build two hotels. Both would be on Tegler Drive, as is the Cambria Suites.

Last December, Sprague said that the first hotel, a new-concept, upscale Holiday Inn franchised by InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, will have 120 rooms, including 58 suites. Brenda Myers, executive director of the Hamilton County Convention and Visitors Bureau, said the county has 26 hotels.
