On Monday, Intrametco, a nonferrous metal trading company, publicized its intention to move its headquarters to the north side of Saxony in Noblesville.  It joins companies such as Perkins Specialized Transportation, a national logistics company who made a similar announcement last week; Helmer, a biomedical manufacturer; Verus Partners, an industrial real estate developer; and Hamilton Town Center Mall, a 95,000 square foot mall scheduled to open in the spring of 2008.

Intrametco will occupy two acres along Bergen Boulevard, a new road currently under construction.  It will tenant the second floor of a new two-story, 20,000 square foot office building.  According to Jon Town, an Intrametco vice president, the new location will allow more future expansion than their current locale and was chosen above other acceptable locations because of its proximity to many of their eleven employees’ homes.

Intrametco is a 27-year old company founded by Charles Town, Jon Town’s father.  The company has a global clientele that includes automobile manufacturers and foundries in metals including aluminum, brass, copper, lead, stainless steel, magnesium and zinc.  Intrametco’s current location of 3665 N. Washington Boulevard where it has been for ten years will be sold in the spring.
